🏥 Before a procedure

Follow the fasting and medicine instructions given at your pre-operative visit — usually no food for 6–8 hours before surgery. Inform your doctor about blood thinners, diabetes medicines and any allergies. Arrive at the time given so pre-operative checks are unhurried.

Success Story — Reconstructing Lives

A complex hernia, a full recovery

A 58-year-old patient with a massive recurrent incisional hernia — following multiple unsuccessful surgeries elsewhere — came to us with severe abdominal-wall weakness, persistent pain and significant loss of domain.

After comprehensive evaluation, the surgical team led by Prof. (Dr.) Ashvind Bawa performed a complex Abdominal Wall Reconstruction using advanced Component Separation Technique with sublay mesh reinforcement. The patient was mobilised on the second day, discharged with excellent wound healing, and within months resumed normal activities — free from pain and with a significantly improved quality of life.
